Why is the moisture content in pellets so important to know when buying a premium product?
Wood Pellets should have the lowest moisture content for the best burn possible, if a pellet has a moisture content of 5% or higher your stove will not operate as effiently and the pellet will not burn and produce the BTU’s needed to heat your home to your expectations.

Depending on your sq ft of your home the amount of pellets will change. For the average 2,500 sq ft home you will go through 1 bag of pellets per day on your colder days in the mid of winter and a half a bag on the warmer days.
